Who we are
Gezra (“we”) is a creative design, software engineering and digital solutions company based in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya. We are responsible for personal data submitted through this website, in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Enquiries and quotation requests: your name, phone number, email address (if given), business name (if given), your preferred contact method, and what you tell us about your project, budget and timeline.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
- Security records: a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your network address, used to stop spam and abuse. We cannot turn it back into your address.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The website sets no cookies for visitors. Staff who sign in to manage the website receive a strictly necessary session cookie.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotations (to take steps at your request before entering a contract).
- To provide the services you engage us for.
- To send newsletter updates you asked for (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To protect the website from spam and misuse (our legitimate interest).
Who can see it
Only authorised Gezra staff, with access limited by role. We use trusted service providers to run the website: hosting, database and, where enabled, email delivery. They process data only on our instructions. We do not sell your information.
Our planned hosting and database providers store data in data centres in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), which means your information may be transferred outside Kenya. We will use providers that offer appropriate safeguards for personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting project, and then for a reasonable period for our business records. You can ask us to delete your information earlier.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed, to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
